A: Call our receptionists between 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday.Q: Does the office have evening or weekend appointments?
A: Evening appointments are available Monday – Friday 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. and weekends from 8:00 a.m. – noon for urgent care only.Q: Can I email medical questions?
A: No, the physicians at Pediatric Associates feel strongly that all questions should be phoned into our office. We feel that we can provide you with the best service in this fashion.Q: What hospitals are the physicians affiliated with?
A: All of our physicians are on staff at Danbury Hospital.Q: Why does the front desk ask for my insurance card every time I come in?
A: Most insurance plans require that we see your insurance card at the time of each visit. In addition, insurance plans may change throughout the year. To ensure correct billing we must keep our records up to date. This will simplify your correspondence with your insurance company.Q: Are all the physicians board certified?
A: Yes, they are all certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.Q: How do I contact the physicians after hours in case of an emergency?
A: Call our office number at (203) 744-1680. Our answering service will page our “on-call” physician.Q: Will my physician see my child in the hospital at the time of my delivery?
A: The physician on-call from Pediatric Associates will see your baby in the hospital after you deliver and on each subsequent day your baby is in the well baby nursery. Danbury Hospital has a Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) staffed with board certified neonatologists who care for high risk babies, such as premature babies. If your baby needs the care of a neonatologist he will be cared for in the NICU by these specialists.Q: Will my physician see my child if they are admitted to the hospital?
A: Danbury Hospital has a full time pediatric physician, Dr. Gregory Dworkin, who cares for our patients while they are admitted to Danbury Hospital. Dr. Dworkin is also a board certified pulmonologist. At the time of your child’s discharge from the hospital a follow-up appointment is scheduled with your primary physician here at Pediatric Associates.

A: We accept cash, check, Visa and MasterCard.Q: Do I have to pay at the time of my appointment?
A: Pediatric Associates requires payment at the time of service for copays, deductibles and health saving plans. A service charge is applied to any account not paid at the time of service.Q: Do I have to pay a fee for forms?
A: Pediatric Associates will complete one form per check-up free of charge. For additional forms, a fee of $5.00 per form is charged. There will be no charge for WIC or medication administration forms.To clarify, charges will be incurred as follows:
- Children will be allowed one (1) form with each check-up, free of charge, prior to the age of two (2).
- Age two (2) and up a child will be allowed one (1) form per calendar year, free of charge.
- Any duplicate form will have a $5.00 fee assessed.
Q: Do I have to pay a fee if I do not show up for my appointment?
A: A $25 fee will be charged for any check-up not cancelled 24 hours prior to the appointment. A 24 hour notice will give us the opportunity to schedule another child who is in need of a check-up.
